Generous Gardener Rose is a beloved climbing rose by David Austin, celebrated for its soft pink, cupped blooms and graceful, arching habit. This rose is exceptionally fragrant, offering a blend of Old Rose, musk, and myrrh, which enhances its appeal in the garden. Blooms appear in generous clusters, repeating throughout the season, and add a romantic charm to trellises, walls, and arbours.
Ideal for cooler climates, The Generous Gardener can thrive in Zones 4 and up, though some winter protection is recommended in colder zones. It reaches an impressive height of 10-15 feet when used as a climber or can be pruned to maintain a smaller, shrub-like form. Its disease resistance and robust growth make it an ideal choice for Canadian gardens looking for both beauty and resilience.

Came almost fully defoliated. I wasn't sure it was going to make it but I am starting to see new nodes forming after being planted for a couple weeks.
I was teally disappointed in the way it was delivered. All of its branches were broken it just looked like it had been tossled around in the box. Hoping it survives
Hmm well its too early to tell, I think I saw a very tiny bit of new growth on the rose yesterday but I've been worried about it. When it came, it looked like it had started to grow but all that growth had since shriveled and died. I have given it water when the weather has been dry
Generous Gardener has a beautiful scent and is a prolific bloomer
Iām happy with the rose and I had great service when I pick it up.
