Hamari Gold- Dinnerplate Dahlia

Pretty Petals website talks a lot about being Canadian grown, and what I received was imported tubers. I went back to the website and found that the Canadian grown only applied to the roses and not the dahlias. It did say that, but I missed it. I was expecting a home grown tuber, and instead it was a very bad imported clump. I noodled on whether or not I should plant or not, planning to quarantine, but ultimately I decided it was not worth the risk so I disposed of them. I’ll also say that the tuber climb was in poor condition, broken in places, shrivelled and no visible eyes. I ordered one other as well which did have a single viable eye, but I also elected to dispose of it to avoid the risk of disease to my other expensive flowers.
3 start review because partly it was my fault for misreading what to expect, but also the clump looked bad. Otherwise, the shopping and shipping experience was effortless.
