Claire Austin is a breathtaking, creamy-white climbing rose from David Austin, prized for its old-world charm and intense fragrance. The blooms start as delicate buds that unfurl into large, cup-shaped flowers filled with soft, ruffled petals in shades of ivory and cream, sometimes tinged with the faintest hint of lemon. Its strong, myrrh scent, with notes of vanilla and heliotrope, makes it one of the most fragrant roses in the garden.
This rose has a graceful, arching growth habit and can reach up to 12 feet, making it perfect for training over a trellis, arch, or wall. The glossy green foliage contrasts beautifully with the pure white blooms, creating an elegant, classic look. Claire Austin is also highly resistant to disease and performs well in a variety of climates.
Pair this stunning rose with blue or lavender-toned flowers, such as Salvia or Lavender, or combine it with other David Austin varieties like The Generous Gardener for a romantic and timeless garden display.

The tiny plants that arrived did not warrant the cost. I sent these as a gift but was embarrassed to see how small and immature they were. I found larger plants at Loblaws for less than half the cost of these. Will never order from here again.
Ordered in June— essentially received a bare root that had already broken dormancy not ideal… most foliage removed for shipping a severely cut down. Was shipped in wet soil wrapped in aplastic bag. Plant arrived looking stressed. Will see if it survives. Paid for express shipping but arrived 1 week plus with carrier delays during heat wave.
My two roses arrived looking healthy and well branched with several growth points. Planted next day and now waiting for warmer temps to bring them to life.
